Scarlet Rebels Land #15 in the UK Official Album Charts, Clinching a #1 in the Official Rock Charts

Scarlet Rebels have had a monumental week, securing the #15 spot in the UK Official Album Charts and reaching #1 in the Official Rock Charts with their latest release, Where The Colours Meet, out now via Earache Records. The Welsh rockers found themselves in an unexpected chart battle, even peaking at #3 in the midweeks, battling it out alongside none other than Taylor Swift. For a band that started two decades ago in the small town of South Wales, rubbing shoulders with global superstars is a significant achievement.

Frontman Wayne Doyle reflects on this milestone:

What a week. It’s been amazing to see how our Rebel Club banded around us this week. Being able to meet them and hear what this record means to them has been brilliant.

We’re a tiny little Rock band from a corner of South Wales, who managed to rally enough support for us to even attempt to take on the Giants of the Industry and the phenomenon of Taylor Swift. We’re absolutely thrilled to secure our second Top 15 record and first #1 Rock record on what has proven to be a really competitive charting week. What’s more important is seeing how this record has resonated with people and what it means to them already. This last week will stay with me forever.

Thank you so much Rebel Club, we absolutely love you.

Where The Colours Meet stands as a tribute to their musical roots, with The Scottish Daily Express praising the album “Channelling the might of their countrymen … Groups like Stereophonics, The Alarm and Manic Street Preachers obviously fired these lads up.” The band’s willingness to explore new songwriting techniques has paid off, with Songwriting Magazine commending their approach: “Channelling the best of classic rock while building from solid songwriting foundations, it’s music that chooses its accoutrements wisely.”

This accomplishment is not just a high point for Scarlet Rebels but a testament to their resilience. After two decades of near-misses, they’re finally reaping the rewards of their relentless drive and dedication. Facing off against industry giants, this independent band has proven that persistence and passion can lead to extraordinary success. With Where The Colours Meet becoming their second album to chart, Scarlet Rebels are steadily climbing the ranks and cementing their mark on the rock music scene.
