Ian Moss has rightfully earned his place as one of the world’s premier guitarists. Coupled with a voice as smooth as honey and exquisite tenderness, Mossy has been mesmerizing audiences in Australia as a founding member of one of Australia’s greatest rock bands, Cold Chisel, and during his stellar solo career for well over 40 years. Put simply, Ian Moss is part of Australian music’s soul.

He will return to the UK in July 2024 for two special performances: on Wednesday, July 12, at Glasgow’s King Tuts and Friday, July 12, at Bush Hall in London.

Tickets for both performances are on sale 9am Thursday April 11, UK time from www.ianmoss.com.au/tour or the venues www.kingtuts.co.uk and www.bushhallmusic.co.uk

“I’m ecstatic to announce I am coming back to UK where in the past the audiences have always been incredible and receptive. I can’t wait to come back with the band.”

Moss’s band contains some of the finest musicians in Australia, with Zoe Hauptmann on bass (Neil Finn, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins)Ollie Thorpe on guitars (Matt Corby, Meg Mac) and Kerry Jacobson on drums (Dragon, Mondo Rock)

The Rivers Run Dry – Deluxe Edition containing six never-before-released live tracks recorded at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre in August 2023 on the Rivers Run Dry Tour is now also available.

Bonus tracks include Rivers Run Dry, I Miss You In The Night, Open Your Eyes, The Wish, the radio smash Nullarbor Plain, plus the first-ever Ian Moss and band spellbinding live recording of the classic that Moss has made his own Georgia on My Mind.

Opening in Glasgow will be Scottish singer-songwriter Willie Campbell. Based on the Isle of Lewis, he first came to widespread attention as a member of the band Astrid and now with his solo career. Scotland’s The Herald said “Campbell rises above all other references and stakes his claim to being one of the country’s truly great pop songwriters”.

And in London, there will be Australian London-based singer-songwriter Liz Stringer. With a career spanning six studio albums and a slew of honours, including Port Fairy Folk Festival’s 2023 Artist of the Year and the Woodford Folk Festival’ Emerging Legend of Australian Song’ in 2020, Stringer is a revered guitarist and vocalist, her notoriously powerful live performances and melodically rich, story-based songs earning her a unique place among the most important Australian songwriters of the modern era.

Moss, who was born and raised in Alice Springs and was enthralled by Jeff Beck’s genius, was voted Australia’s best guitarist, ahead of both ACDC’s Angus and Malcolm Young. He has released seven incredible dynamic studio albums—the #1 and multi-platinum Matchbook, Worlds Away, Petrolhead, Let’s all Get Together, Soul on West 53rd, the self-titled Ian Moss, 2023’s tour de force Rivers Run Dry, plus 2020’s brilliant album Live.

Over the years, Australia has produced some great musical talent that has blown audiences away, and Ian Moss is undoubtedly one of them.
