Enjoying a lifelong passion for music, Claire Lloyd completed her music degree before taking her first steps in marketing, promotions, and band management joining 1917 Corp, to help devise and deliver a number of successful marketing campaigns. These included Sony, BMG, Island Records, and an array of independent labels and working release campaigns such as The Clash’s ‘The Singles’ Box Set Clash, Mel C, Nanci Griffith and Alison Krauss.
Pursuing a passion for Country/Americana, Claire subsequently started a successful monthly live music night called The Lost Highway. The nights featured US touring acts, as well as homegrown talent. The venture featured in The Sunday Times culture magazine.
Claire then moved to 7pm Management, run by music manager Seven Webster (Skindred, REEF, Michael Monroe etc). Claire worked co-booking festivals including events like the London City Showcase and The Sci-Fi Weekender as well as handling public relations for a number of artists (becoming Head of PR). At 7pm Management, she devised and delivered PR campaigns for artists like Grinspoon and Skindred amongst others.
It was here that she really discovered her passion for PR which in turn inspired her to launch Central Press. At the same time, she created a new PR division in conjunction with both 7pm Management & Chic Festivals handling the PR for all the numerous Chic Festivals and events, notably the HRH – Hard Rock Hell franchise.
Now over a decade later she still works alongside and with 7pm Management on a number of key artists.
